NLR remains committed to support aerospace education and professional trainings. eCFD provides a low-barrier entry for students/trainees to understand flow phenomena and the effects thereof to performance figures. By the notion of email, discussion, guidance and supervision can be efficiently carried out. NLR is prepared to support universities and training providers in the development of course/training curriculum. For example, custom parameterization can be built into the available generic models to meet specific course/training goals.
For individual consultants, eCFD can be conveniently exploited to produce hard figures to support discussion with the clients, in order to provide well-founded engineering judgements and advice.
